The Corinthian Occasionals played the Annual Slip Drive Game with
British & Dominion on Saturday,
July 1, 2006 at Erwin Park
The Corinthian Occasionals:
Philip Lynch (Captain), Gokul Swamy, Richard Blackledge, Masud Zaidi,
Sandy Gage, Kelly Dunagan, Cliff Severn, Mahmood Jadwet and guests Kaleem,
Saleem and Asif.
The Game:
Batting first, the B&D scored a total of 166 runs for 7 in
30 overs (Raj 41; Randy 30*; Jimmy 28; AJ 27).
The Occasionals came up short on their response with only 91
on the board all out. A brilliant effort from Sandy Gage (17 runs including
three boundaries) as the Occasionals' top-scorer for the day.
The tradition of a great friendly game between
two friendly sides was kept up throughout, including an excellent lunch
provided by Max Howard.
